«Gazprom» PJSC plans to increase gas and liquid hydrocarbon reserves in 2021

Moscow. 26 April. INTERFAX – Gazprom PJSC has planned an increase in reserves for 2021 in the amount of 497.2 billion cubic meters. m – with a slight excess of the production plan (496.9 billion cubic meters), reported the «Gazprom» magazine.

In 2021, Gazprom PJSC plans to carry out 6647 sq. km of 3D acquisition (5.3 thousand sq. km in 2020), to drill 74.3 thousand linear meters of rocks (60.3 thousand meters in 2020), to complete the construction of 31 prospecting and appraisal and wild-cat wells. Due to this, 497.2 billion cubic meters of gas and 8.6 million tons of liquid hydrocarbons are expected to be obtained. The main increase in reserves is expected on the shelf of the Kara Sea and in Western Siberia”, – says the article.

«In 2021, work will continue on accelerated exploration at the Yamal fields – Bovanenkovo, Kharasavey, and Tambey, systematic exploration work at the Russian continental shelf (in the Kara Sea and on the Sakhalin shelf) and key fields in Eastern Siberia – Kovykta, Chayanda, and its parts in the Krasnoyarsk and Kamchatka Territories, as well as at operating/producing fields in the zone of a unified gas supply system in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and in the European part of Russia, the magazine writes.

It is planned to carry out 1308 sq. km of 3D acquisition and complete the construction of six wells On the territory of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The main efforts will be focused on the geological exploration at the Bovanenkovo, Kharasavey, Malygin, and Tambey groups of fields, as well as on the preparation of reserves of deep horizons of producing fields. At the Tambey oil and gas condensate field in 2021, it is planned to test the Achimov objects in two exploratory wells, the construction of which started last year, and it is also planned to drill three new exploratory wells. At the Malygin gas condensate field, in accordance with the outlined plans, exploratory drilling will start in 2023, and in the meantime, 3D field seismic and electrical acquisition will be carried out here.

«Starting this year, «Gazprom» PJSC will pay special attention to the Sopoch license area located at Gydan. The license for the use of the subsoil of this area was obtained in 2020. It is planned to perform a state expert examination of the project for its geological study. It is expected that 3D acquisition and electric prospecting will be carried out on an area of 780 sq. km in 2021-2023 here. In the future, based on the results of this work, exploration and appraisal well will be drilled, which opens up prospects for the discovery of a new large hydrocarbon field here», the publication says.

Two wells are planned to be constructed on the shelf of Kara Sea in 2021: exploration and appraisal well at Skuratov and an exploration one at the Leningrad license areas. In 2022, it is planned to start drilling st the Ledovoye gas condensate field in the Barents Sea. In total, it is planned to construct five wells and carry out acquisition in the amount of over 5 thousand square kilometers on the Priyamal shelf in the next four years.
