Interfax – In 2019, Gazprom’s gas reserves increased by 555,6 billion cubic meters due to geological prospecting works in Russia, as well as 12,1 million tons of oil and gas condensate – thus, the gas replacement ratio is 1,11.
The most significant growth of gas reserves was obtained at the Kruzenshternskoye field on the shelf of the Kara Sea and adjacent land of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District – 262.9 billion cubic meters. In the fields named after V.A. Dinkov and Nyarmeyskoye fields and on the shelf of the Kara Sea -135.9 billion cubic meters and 67.9 billion cubic meters respectively. At the Ludlovskoye field on the shelf of the Barents Sea – 48.9 billion cubic meters.
In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, geological prospecting works were carried out in order to maintain production levels of the existing fields in the area of the Unified Gas Supply System of Russia (UGSS), as well as preparation for the development of reserves of the Tambeyskoye oil and gas condensate field. The works were carried out on licensed areas of “Gazprom Dobycha Nadym LLC”, “Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy LLC”, “Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg LLC” and “Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk LLC” , as well as Severneftegazprom OJSC .
The were three key areas: preparation of the reserves for development of the Achimov and Jurassic sediments at the existing fields, reserves prospecting and exploration of the top of Cenomanian gas complex, as well as preparation of the reserves for development of Neocomian-Jurassic sediments and accelerated geological exploration at fields of Yamal peninsula.
Thus, project works were carried out to improve the efficiency of drilling and tests of the Achimov and Jurassic sediments. Six wells constructions were completed at the Urengoy, Yamburg and Tambey fields. When productive layer was being tested the stimulation techniques inflow were applied in all wells including hydraulic fracturing (HF).
The accelerated program of hydrocarbon reserves implementation of the top of Cenomanian complex in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District to maintain gas production in the unified system of gas supply (USGS) were continued.
Drilling and thematic works (prospecting and appraisal wells construction) were carried out at Medvezhevye and Vyngapurovskoye fields. One of the wells at the Vyngapurovskoye field is completed. At the same time, all wells were drilled with horizontal bore endings.
Project supplementary exploration works were carried out at the Bovanenkovskoye and Tambeyskoye field (oil-gas condensate field) as well as at the Kharasaveyskoye gas condensate fields at the Yamal Peninsula.
In 2020 in Russia Gazprom as part of the geological prospecting works is planning to carry out for oil and gas 15,5 thousand square kilometres of 3D seismic acquisition works, to drill 114,5 thousand linear meters of rocks, to finish construction of the 34 prospecting and appraisal wells and exploration wells, to receive an increase in reserves at least 512,7 billion cubic meters of gas and 2,5 million tons of liquid hydrocarbons.
The main increase in reserves is planned to be obtained on the shelf of the Kara Sea, on the Kovykta gas condensate field in the Irkutsk region, as well as on the Medvezhe, Urengoy and Yamburg fields in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District. This year, the company plans to continue accelerated geological exploration at the Yamal fields (Bovanenkovskoye , Kharasaveyskoye and Tambeyskoye). Geological exploration on the shelf and key fields in Eastern Siberia – Kovykta, Chayandinsky and its satellites, in the Krasnoyarsk and Kamchatka regions, as well as on existing fields in the USGS zone in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and in European part of Russia.
In 2020, on the shelf of the Kara Sea, if only the sufficient financing will be available, it is planned to build two wells: prospecting and appraisal well #2 Skuratovskaya with 2,1 thousand meters depth and exploration well # 5 Leningradskaya with 2,7 thousand meters depth, located on the same licensed areas. Reserves growth at the Skuratovskaya and Leningradskaya license areas are planned to grow up to 452,7 billion cubic meters of gas.
In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (at the Medvezhe, Urengoy, Yamburg and Vyngapurovskoye fields, as well as in the Petsovoye and West Petsovoye areas) as part of the implementation of the Senonian project and the preparation of reserves of deep-seated horizons at the existing fields, in 2020 it is planned to fulfil 2748 sq. km of 3D seismic acquisition works, to finish the construction of five wells, to get an increase in reserves in the amount of 30,6 million tons (ton of reference fuel), including about 29 billion cubic meters of gas.
